We have players on during that time, but rarly an admin. What you can do is create a personal faction and make your way to brotherhood territory. You can contact them IC in the lore section of the forums. Once you are on server and have a faction let me know where you are hanging out and I will leave you a Brotherhood starter ship.

When are admins online?
I'm on the server right now, could I just create a temporary faction to recieve a starter ship? A faction is deleted when the last person leaves, right?

I created a faction called Jennie Bell Temporary, and I'm at a shop in sector -252,17,-299 in system -16,1,-19. You'll see a small fighter ship there that I created just for the purpose of getting from place to place while exploring a little.

Just please make sure to constact the Brotherhood In Charecter to make your alignment official  We try to avoid the head aches when it comes to meta gaming. Just like in out modern world there are eyes and ears everywhere. Assume that whatever you say will be eventually passed along or over heard. If you really want something to be kept secret then communicate it through Private messages. Using (R) and (L) instead is fine. |

One more question. When talking about years, what is BE, and what is AE? I presume that's before and after Exodus. Exodus is when Baal appeared? Or when the humans left Epheb? If so, which year did Baal appear?
Epheb is in the Milky Way?

Yes BE is before exodus and AE is after exodus. The exodus is when the people of old Ephebia fled to the other side if the galaxy to escape the Servents of Baal. The Baalites started to appear several decades before the exodus occurred. The server takes place in the Milky Way, as far as the populace knows. Humanities true origins(earth) are mostly unknown.

Sorry, I just keep coming up with new questions. If I want to post stories in the "Life in TC:NA" subforum, like a journal or something, can it be private? What I mean is, are posts in that subforum always announcements and transmissions that are public, or can it just be a simple private journal that's there for everyone to read in OOC, but have no knowledge of in IC?

Yes, they can be out of game. That's a big part of the fun of the game - regaling tales of battles and adventures. Not everyone can be on at the same time it happens.
However any real secrets involving players, we can't control. Admins however will only use knowledge that is in-game of course.

I want to keep a journal of sorts for Jennie, detailing her adventures so that everyone could enjoy it OOC, but I don't want people's characters to know what they read there IC. If I say something in the thread, detailing that it's not available to the other characters, would that be enough to ensure no metagaming is involved?

You can post your personal story in the bio section. Just start the post saying that this is a personal journal and what is written here is not public knowledge. Don't post things like the location of your secret base or anything like that. The admins don't enforce metagamig either way, expect people to not always play fair. But it does go both ways. If someone says: jenni is allied to the brotherhood! My response as an SS officer would be: where is the proof? If they can not prove it in some physical way then admins won't support or act on it RP wise.

That would be true for the admins, I can say for sure. As for players, I think we have a good bunch of people playing now and they all would be respectful. But we can't guarantee somebody wouldn't do something with that info. It would be against the rules to use info from the forums that a player wouldn't actually know. So there's that.
If you need to set something up with the admins that would be absolutely private, you could send us all a private message of course.
