SHIP INSURANCE
Here at TC we do not want to tell you what you can and can't build.
However, we do encourage you to build under certain guidelines.
Ships that meet these guidelines can be insured through either the Syndicate states, Rendii Empire or the Brotherhood. What does this mean?
If your ship meets RP qualifications and is insured, it will be replaced FOR FREE if destroyed or heavily damaged.
To insure a ship you must create a post on this thread with the name, picture and a short description of the vessel and which faction you are insuring it through. Once the post is made a faction representative(admin) will inspect the ship and determine if it is RP qualified.
Once the ship is insured the admins will save a permanent copy of it via a sector export(because those files are smaller). If you choose to make any changes to the ship it will need to be re insured.
ROLE PLAY SHIP GUIDELINES
DISCLAIMER:: These requirements are for insured ships only. In general however, Ships must still look like ships as well as look like people are operating them. Ships that are solid masses of blocks will be removed from the server after a warning. If the admins feel your ship is not in the "spirit" of the server it will be removed.
***In short, build nice RP ships, the admins will like you, be nice to you and give you free stuff. Build Non-RP/lame ships and admins will ignore you for RP stuff and throw Mobs at you!***

For a ship to be considered Role Play Qualified and insurable it must meet certain requirements.
-The final determination of what is and isn't insurable is the subjective opinion of an Admin.
-If your vessel does not quite meet the crew-mass requirements, such as a transport ship filled with containers, exceptions can be made.
-The options to grant you your insurance claim is up to the admin you are making it through. If the Admin believes you have modified your ship from its insured state (for example took out all the beds and added weapons) Your Claim Will Be Denied.
-Some form of proof will be required that your ship was actually heavily damaged or destroyed. You must either haul back the remains of your damaged ship, or tell an admin where to find it. Making a false insurance claim won't get you banned from the server, but will get you in a lot of trouble with the faction you insured the ship with.
-FINALLY. The spirit of the rules are to be followed, not the letter. Exceptions and compromises can and will be made.
These are the basic ship classes. Ships fall into a class based on weight, anything in class A can be considered a fighter, bomber, shuttle, or Corvette.
Anything that falls into Class B and above can have any name you like except for names associated with Class A.
The ultimate goal of these requirements is to ensure you ship has a lot of empty space in it and that it is not just a solid mass of power, shields, thrusters and weapons.
Crew Requirements:
-1 Crew is required for every 200 mass your ships has
-IMPORTANT: 1 work station and bunk for every crew member on your ship. (there is a little wiggle room in this rule, as ships get larger, Class B and up, assume that not everyone needs to be working all the time. So in general you will need more bunks then work stations. As long as you have a minimum 1 work station for every 2 bunks you will be ok. When picking out work stations assume that every ship system needs someone operating it.)
-All ships require a cockpit or bridge.
-For every 10 crew your ship requires some sort of sanitary station (bathroom) that can support 2 crew members at a time.
-For every 20 crew your ship requires a mess hall that can support up to 5 crew members
-For every 25 crew you require 1 Medical bed and med station.
-For every 50 crew you need a holding cell for up to 5 people
-Capital class or Higher ships require a hanger and docking bay
-Mother class ship require to be a Nation / State.
