Dear Sirs and Madams, my name is Captain Sarah Flandry (retired), formerly of the Republic of the Chains Navy corps and I'm here to give you an offer. What might a single person be able to give to you, you might be asking yourself right now? What a single person always can come up with: an idea! The plan for a new ship type. But what can I, retired officer of an totally unknown and unneeded star republic offer? I'm offering you a weapon which does not crush it's enemies, which does not rain fire onto their planets like other ships might do: but I offer you a ship which always strikes awe in the hearth of each one who sees it. I'm presenting to you the design of a ship of the line: It's not only massing around 4500 and sports an armament of 7 Broadside weapons on each side, 2 side turrets at the side of the front and 1 below and a top, as well as three turrets placed on it's top, but can serve as a mobile HQ of Operations, as it not only has a small Mess and Tactical room deep inside of it, but also a large upper deck build with crystal armor as windows to show every opponent the disregard of his abilities to even pierce windows on a star ship. After all, where else to hold a conference than in the face of the stars and your enemies? I hope this peek might have awakened your interest and I would be more than delighted to give you a tour of the current prototype. With my best regards, especially on StarDay: Sarah Flandry, Captain (retired), RoC

((That looks great Sarah! I'll come check it out once in return from vacation. I know you've been hanging out on the build server, but would you like to join the RP server as a Rendii or associated with them? Maybe we can set you up as the head of the Rendii shipyards or something))
This is General Lamb of the Rendii special forces. That is quite a stunning vessel! A ship truly fit for an emperor! We will forward this message to the empress herself.

((OOC; Remember that power generation has been massively nerfed in server configuration so what might work fine in single player may not work so well here. Also at a time of recovery like this Im pretty sure the governments want utility in mind, not a show of awe.

byhird. Yep, it kinda grew out of control and somehow I found no place for an eagle (yet) t050189, There's nothing wrong with criticism, as long as it's useful and not only based on guessing

(you turned the Imperial Banner into a conference table, I love it!)
Emperor varhik opens the forwarded message from general lamb, it barely takes a moment before a wide grin grows on his face and he starts chuckling in delight, before he starts working on a pad embedded into his chair.
My dear Madam Flandry, this is Emperor Varhik Zelkir, I recently received from one of my top Generals that you would like to make an offer on a truly stunning ship? to what does the Empire owe this honor, Miss Flandry? I must say, from the peeks you have given us, it is a truly remarkable ship!

The Greek-style ramming bow is a nice touch. So are the side panels; good contrasting colours. The ship looks like some sort of a space-faring Man o' War or Galleon, mainly because of the hull shape and rear placement of a low-silhouette bridge. Maybe you'd consider antenna masts? On the other hand, might not be too material-efficient. Seems like a costly investment; Might be hard for a single player to obtain one easily. (Putting more here later)

Working on one of the broadside turrets which had given problems in the last tests, Sarah is lying below it on her back, fiddling with some of the weapon blocks as a small sound from her nearby pad informs her of a new message. Sighing softly she reaches out, her gloved hands fumbling over the floor as she searches for the familiar square form of it, finally getting a grip on it after pulling multiple tools to her instead. Biting into the tip of her glove she slowly started to pull it off while keeping her eyes on the pad, slowly reading from who the message she just got was, her eyes widening ever so slightly as her finally free hand reaches down and touches the pad, opening the message for her. Later one if ever asked by one of the construction workers she would fiercely deny being the source for the happy squeal the might have heard around this time. A few minutes, and a hasty shower, later, she was standing in the mess hall of the prototype, her uniform jacket smartly buttoned and prim, her posture straight and her peaked cap slung under her arm as she straightened to send the Emperor (himself!) a reply with a video call. "Your majesty,", she started softly, bowing lightly towards the camera. "I`m honored to be the recipient of a personal answer from yourself, certain as I was that my project would only be of interest to some military circles in the construction & shipyard offices. Nonetheless I`m delighted to know that General Lamb was serious when he send me the message that he would forward it to the Empress and as it seems also to you, your majesty, himself. Your enthusiasm for the ship design is very flattering and I can assure you that I will work diligently to reach your expectations.", after bowing once again lightly she straightens and looks straight into the camera, her hands neatly placing her heavy cap back on her head. "For my reasons to why I forwarded my plans to the Empire, I might in return ask, if I might be so boldly...", a small smile graces her lips for a moment before disappearing again. "Who else could I have send it to or rather, who could have drawn use from it?", she asks pointedly before waving lightly over the table, the blast doors behind her opening and showing the pulsating engine room of the prototype. "The Servants of Baal?", she says lightly before shaking her head "Brainwashed minions and fanatics who are hostile to everyone, even me as long as I stay me" "Who else would be there?", comes the nearly mocking question as her lips curl up in distaste "Ohhh yes~ The wealthy and powerful Confederate Syndicate States of New Ephebia, of which one could say: they are neither wealthy; for their wealth lies in the hands of a few companies while their citizens have at best a modest life, nor are they powerful: For their economy might be flourishing but their ad hoc emergency fleets and mercenaries miss the professionalism, dedication and size of a real military fighting for it`s homeland, nor can you call them a State as they are an anarchic conglomerate of factions joining and segregating all the time with the only firm and continuous power being a leadership consisting of people who`s basic humanity could be in doubt after all these years they seemed to be alive without dying or aging, then what use is their democracy if these pencil pushers and bureaucrats hold the population in line with enough comforts?" Ending her sentences in the same cool voice with which she started it, she gave another respectful bow towards the camera "There`s only one state promising order, caring for it`s citizen like a benevolent father and wielding the instruments of destruction needed for ending the Baalite threat once and for all....and I wish nothing more than to offer my service to the Empire dutifully, your Grace."

A video response shortly comes through to Flandry, again, bearing all the marks that it is once again the emperor. When the message is opened you can see a relatively young man, black hair and a slight stubble of a goatee and moustache in high society white and red garb sitting in a chair that looks like it may very well be the Imperial Throne itself, and it too isn't lacking in the luxurious department. and next to the Emperor are two heavily armored guards in full helmet, their armor looks quaint, but undoubtedly reliable, as do their weapons, rifles slung over their shoulders securely, a standard pistol on their thigh, the Rendii's trademark traditional weapons, the swords on their other thighs sheathed, with their hands holding onto them, while their off hand, towards the emperor hold long spear like weapons. it is obvious they can do damage, or they probably wouldn't be carrying such weapons.
As the Emperor smiles upon start of the video, the two soldiers take it as signal to salute to the camera briefly as a sign of respect before he raises his hand briefly and continues.
Madam Flandry, you may not be of Rendii Blood or Rendii Spirit, but I can see you have resolve, determination, and the brass to get things done when they need done, and of course, the eyes to see things for what they truly are. I can't help but agree with you, the Baalites are mad, insane, unredeemable. the only mercy we can show them is a clean, painless death to end their torment, if they even deserve that. and the Confederate states? the worst mistakes an Emperor could ever make, I aim to not repeat that infuriating, and shameful history. again, as you say, Their wealth lies with a few companies that run the states while everyone else live modest lives at best, they do not share their wealth or their welfare with their people. and their power is weaker than they let on, for they lack the discipline, order, professionalism and resolve to protect ones own Fatherlands. You would not see such disorder in the Rendii navy. we train our troops into a refined man or woman, willing to put down their life to fight for what they believe, what they care for. and we train them to do it right and with order and professionalism. you are right, they are anarchic, their factions join or break off at will like it was an everyday occurrence, it is pitiful. Their democracy is a lie, a sham, an absolute joke. there is no democracy to be found there. you once again hit home with the point that their leaders have been the same for well over what is deemed human, and I do question their base humanity.
since the day I was taught how to survive politics I saw the Confederate states as a failure, a democracy without the finer points of what it's supposed to be, with Leaders who don't know how to set down their power or pass it along. us Zelkirs, and the other noble houses themselves let ourselves age even though we can probably find a way to cease it, so we may naturally one day pass down our power to the next in line, it allows leadership to cycle through when it no longer works, and it lets a clear, fresh mind take it's place. One day I will grow old, lines will cover my face, my vision and mind will be hazy and blurred, my hair grey going stark white, and before long I will be dead, and the cycle will continue. I cannot say the same for the confederates with each passing day, like my predecessors before me, my concern grows for the mental state of every Confederate leader, their minds may not age, but immortality can also take it's toll on ones mind, watching everyone you ever cared about or call friend die, while you stay stagnant in time... I also do not see a democracy myself, I do not see a stable long term government with the thought of their people in their minds. I see them for what they are, a collection of companies that are in it for number one, in it for themselves and their personal wealth. Companies and corporate allies masquerading as a government, keeping anyone not in their personal clique at frigates length. And the alliance we have with the Confederate states is the ultimate joke we have to suffer at this point in time, I do wish this joke would end already, I do not consider them allies, I never did and never will as long as they govern themselves the way they do. they are history waiting to repeat itself. and that history is both deadly, and oppressive.
The Emperor's words sound calm and collected all the way through. always keeping eye contact with the camera, he seems into it and quite agreeable.
Madam Flandry I care and will always care for my people, my fatherlands. I do not like the injustice a good portion of my people suffer through, because of the neglect of my predecessors, the Fouzen suffer because they are considered half breeds, it does not matter to me, they are my people. and like my sword, if it strikes down all that would oppose and threaten my people, my Fatherlands, I will gladly wield and bring to bear whatever instrument of destruction I have in my arsenal. The baalites are a threat the Empire can never ignore.
Offering your services dutifully? that can also be arranged, what would you have in mind Madam Flandry? I will await your response with anticipation.
