It's time to lay on the hurt on those SoBs.
LS Bird of Hermes was, without doubt, a capable vessel. But a new behemoth has stepped up to take the throne of Leviathan Shipyards crown jewel:
Leviathan Shipyards Concept Ship ARCHANGEL
Archangel represents the best and most cutting edge technology Leviathan has to offer, packed into a single gigantic 4000 mass package of FREEDOM.
The ship's design is the first Leviathan ship to ever be conceptualised, tested and pitted in simulation combat using the latest RealTec blueprint simulation engines.
Archangel is designed specifically as a front-line station buster. It's equipment and statistics all reflect this fact.
Replacing the revolving railgun on the Bird of Hermes is the new, revolutionary C.H.E.C.K.M.A.T.E fire system. The name stems from the checkerboard marks the weapon makes on a target, when not adjusted.
Controlled entirely through cameras, sensors and a vast computer circuit hidden inside the heavily armoured control room deep inside the Archangel, C.H.E.C.K.M.A.T.E brings the "mass" back in mass driver.

C.H.E.C.K.M.A.T.E is a multiple exit point ballistic weapon. It is, for all ideas and purposes, a gigantic fletchette cannon that supplies a steady cloud of superheated metal. Simulation ballistics tests showed that the system could down a enemy frigate's shields almost instantly; when used on an Advanced Armour sample, it was shown to have devastating effect. The constant rain of metal shards ripped a crater through a 10 meter thick layer of armour plating within seconds, and pierced through the 50x50x50 Advanced Armour bulkhead in less than half a minute. Against a standard armour target, the bulkhead was vaporised in under 10 seconds.
C.H.E.C.K.M.A.T.E has two fire modes: Focused and spread. On focus mode, C.H.E.C.K.M.A.T.E angles all 42 exit points to aim at the same spot, in order to limit collateral damage or to pierce through a target even faster than usual. On spread, all exit points are configured to aim directly ahead, resulting in a death cloud of near-plasma state metal eviscerating all in it's path.
Though C.H.E.C.K.M.A.T.E is easily capable of fending off all threats to the Archangel, Leviathan engineers have also focused on anti-crowd systems. 6 cheap, replaceable point defence mass driver turrets intercept missiles before impact, and 2 cluster missile turrets provide suppression fire against fighters that try to flank the Archangel. Shielding, as well, is also improved. A superturret, mounting the railgun of the Bird of Hermes, is also planned for implementation on later models. All weapon systems, regardless whether offensive or defensive, are all controlled from Archangel's interior Fire Control Center (FCC), where the captain directs commands, oversees the vessel's operations, and pilots the ship.
Due to the highly automated nature of Archangel and C.H.E.C.K.M.A.T.E, crew requirements are not as high; Living necessities are packed into a highly advanced preservation/medic bay in the hull. The bay possesses an array of food replicators for food and drink, while the cubatom disassembly/reassembly beds allow crewmembers to live, sleep and heal in a single high-tech package.
Archangel's power grid is quite possibly the largest non-government ship-bound power source in the known systems. Clocking in at a whopping 150,000+ energy units per second, the power unit is still unable to fully account for C.H.E.C.K.M.A.T.E's even more mind-boggling 30,000+ energy unit per second usage, limiting the massive doomsday gun's operation to firing in 20-30 second bursts before having to recharge for 10 seconds.
The massive combat platform is powered by by a total of 7 separate thruster units: One central main engine, two side engines and four corner engines. Despite this, the high density of the Archangel means it is still somewhat sluggish.
The following is a shortened summary of Archangel's capabilities:
