To Whom it May Concern,
This is Chancellor Jay Armenov, acting leader of the Triarii Conglomerate and its affiliates. I bring to you today a case against accused criminal Robert Peel and an incident that occurred between him and one Nirobis of Truben Trading. We have Robert Peel in custody and have questioned him for an unrelated incident as well as this one. According to reports, Robert Peel attacked Truben Trading with the "Bird of Hermes" ship and destroyed much of their fleet. This is an incomplete narrative and I will attempt to resolve it as best as I possibly can.
Robert Peel was contracted to ferry a Truben Trading ship to their headquarters. Mr. Peel had been negotiating his rates with Mr. Nirobis, when a turret aboard the "Midas" began firing on Mr. Peel and killed him as well as severely damaging his ship. Mr. Nirobis claimed that his turret malfunctioned. Mr. Peel then took the "Bird of Hermes" from its unsecured dock at the liberated Indoctrination facility and approached Truben Trading headquarters, where Nirobis had gone to. Mr. Peel asked for the surrender of Mr. Nirobis, a rational choice for someone who had just been killed by the same person moments earlier, and when he refused Mr. Peel razed the fleet of Truben Trading with still no response from Mr. Nirobis. At this point, the "Bird of Hermes" was returned to its docks.
We have compared his story to Nirobis', third party reports, scan data, patrol reports and radio logs, and as far as we can tell this is as close to what happened as possible.
Our investigations and questioning of Mr. Peel himself have led us to believe that he was at the very least partially justified in his actions. From his view he had been attacked and killed by a man who then later refused to surrender when he came back. That said, he did remove a ship from dock and razed a fleet of insured ships, and of that he is guilty. Triarii Conglomerate offers Truben Trading 1,500,000 cR to cover the repairs of the fleet and facilitate cooperation in the future. We wish for Mr. Peel and Mr. Nirobis to bury the hatchet so we can deal with the problems at hand; namely, the Servants of Baal.
As for Mr. Peel, he remains detained at Sevastopol Station for questioning regarding a convoy incident in TRC territory. If the Syndicate States would like to question him themselves, they may do so here. Mr. Peel was already affiliated with our transport officers and was pursuing a job offer with TRC at the time of the incident. Any further questions may be directed to me.
Regards,
Jay Armenov
